Susy's Next Trip To Hua Hin, Thailand

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!
We wish to give all of you dear ones a special greeting in Christ during this Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.  We are so grateful to God for each of you who have stood with us over the years in prayer, giving, friendship and partnership in the Gospel.
Although there are few of you who receive our newsletter each month, you are so very special and precious to Susy, David Thomas and myself, Dennis.  Many of you have partnered with us for decades.  That is truly amazing.
You have been and continue to be a great source of strength, provision, encouragement and love, which continues to help shape our lives and ministry work.
We realize that most of you who give financially to help, do so sacrificially and with the purest of motives, and we know that some of you have not been able to give as you used to, even though you still have the desire.  We understand completely and pray God’s very best for all of you and your loved ones.
We sense your prayers and see the results of them in our lives and ministry each day. We are very grateful to you for undergirding us with prayer.  Please let us know how to pray for you, as we want to be a blessing to you as well.
We are happy to let you know that Susy is planning in the Lord to return to Thailand, possibly sometime in January.  We have not yet made travel plans for her, but Lord willing, we will in the near future.
Susy has been staying in touch by phone with many of the ladies in Hua Hin who we worked with during our last trip to Thailand, and many of them are eager to see Susy return so that she can continue teaching and training them to win souls and to live victorious Christian lives.
As of now, I will be staying in the States with David Thomas, and preaching and teaching here, along with reaching out to the lost wherever I can each day, while remaining open to hear the Lord’s voice concerning when He would have me travel overseas again.
Susy’s primary focus will probably be in Hua Hin again, although she will also share with the Thai ladies of Eternal Life Church in Bangkok when she is there, and minister to her family as well.
She has a desire to organize a monthly Christian Women’s Outreach Luncheon in the Hua Hin area, along with some of the other Thai Christian ladies from the local Churches of Hua Hin.
This luncheon will be an opportunity for Christian ladies to invite and bring unbelievers to hear testimonies and have a chance to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, as well as enjoy a nice lunch and some loving fellowship with other ladies.
She also would like to organize and teach a weekly city wide Bible Study for women, with it being open to ladies from all of the Hua Hin Churches.
We are also praying about her and other ladies in Hua Hin holding a Christian Women’s Conference where ladies from all the Churches can gather for a day to worship, pray, fellowship and learn together from God’s Word.
Susy will be focusing on training and equipping the believers in Hua Hin in sharing their faith out where the people are, and will make herself available to all the Churches and local fellowships to provide teaching for the ladies who are interested.
Let’s pray for Susy’s trip to Thailand as follows:
  • For all the travel plans which need to be made and to know God’s timing.
  • For God’s provision and supply for every need and for His Divine Protection for Susy.
  • For Divine connections with other sisters in Christ who want to be discipled and trained.
  • For a great harvest of souls and for many of the Thai ladies to become personal soulwinners.
  • For His grace for us being apart for this time.
Your prayers and support in all of this are so important and powerful.  You are a blessing to many!
We love and appreciate you all!

A Glorious and Historic Conference in Hua Hin, Thailand

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!

Thank you for praying for the All Day Regional Christian Conference, entitled “Radical Discipleship and Power Evangelism”, which was held yesterday, July 18th, in Hua Hin.

It was a truly glorious and historic event. Many from the small Body of Christ in this region of Thailand came together for the first time, as one united Body and purely as brothers and sisters in Christ, with no agenda but to worship God and be taught by the Holy Spirit.

Believers from over 20 Christian Churches, both English and Thai speaking, attended the Conference. We were also blessed with the presence of 30 or so students from the Southern Theological Institute, a four year Bible School for the training and preparation of future Pastors and Leaders for the local Churches throughout Thailand.

My guesstimate is that more than 150 people attended throughout the day, with most staying for the entire 12 hours. There were still more than 100 believers in attendance when we dismissed everyone at 9:15 at night.

Luke 5:1-10 was the main text for my four part message. It was broken into four one hour sessions. The emphasis was when Jesus said,

Launch out into the deep waters and let down your nets for a catch. Peter then said, but Lord we have fished all night and caught nothing, but at your word, we will let down the nets.

We were all challenged to take God at His Word when He tells us to let down out nets for a catch, no matter what our results have been in winning souls in the past.

We were also enlightened by the Holy Spirit from Jesus’ words in the Gospels when He tells us that the fields are ripe for the harvest. He told the disciples, You say four months and then the harvest, but I tell you, open your eyes and look, the fields are ripe for harvest now.

We were challenged to take God at His Word that the people around us everyday everywhere are ready to receive Jesus. They are ripe for harvest. Each day when we go into the fields of this world, we are there to harvest souls. Jesus tells us that we will reap where we have not sown.

Susy preached a powerful message entitled, “Closing The Deal”. She used the text from 2 Cor. 6:2, which tells us that NOW is the time of God’s favor, and that NOW is the time of Salvation.

We were all challenged again by the Holy Spirit to not only share the Gospel with people, but to invite them and help them receive Jesus, right there, right then, not later, but NOW is the time.

Pamela Hall from England presented a very comprehensive teaching entitled, A Better Way To Pray, emphasizing the importance and power of praying according to the Word of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ. We all then enjoyed a time of praying for one another in small groups.

After dinner and more worship, David Hall shared a very wonderful message with us all, entitled, The Power Of Christian Unity. You could really sense the Holy Spirit breaking down barriers from the past as we all listened and then worshipped together and then received Communion together.

Pastor Nippon shared a Pastor’s Perspective of the Conference before serving us Communion. We then closed with a very special time of laying hands on everyone and praying for everyone still in attendance as the Lord sent us out into the Harvest Fields of Hua Hin and beyond.

It seemed to me and others that we left the Conference with new vision, new insights, new boldness, new power, new compassion, and new priorities.

Please continue to pray for all us to now go into the streets and the market places and the homes and workplaces to reap a great harvest of souls in this part of Thailand as never before.

Pray also that we will all be sensitive as to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church here in working together to make Jesus known to the world.

Your prayers and support in all of this are so important and powerful. You are a blessing to us!

We love and appreciate you all!

Staying In Touch From Thailand - June 2011

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!

We trust that each of you are doing well in the Lord.  All is well with us here in Thailand and with our son, David Thomas, in Ohio.  PTL!
Our hearts are filled with gratitude toward God, as we continue to draw near to Him to hear His Voice and to do His Will.  His grace and peace and love are being ministered to us in abundance by the Holy Spirit.
He is working all things together for our good, as we are being conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus.  His Word is working mightily in us and through us, and He is meeting all of our needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.
We have been in Thailand a little over five weeks now, and are planning in the Lord to be here another eight weeks or so, that is as of June 14 when I am writing this.  We are so thankful to God for opening many doors for us to preach and teach and share the Unsearchable Riches of Jesus Christ with other people.
We have preached twelve times so far in four Thai Churches and two English speaking fellowships and at Southern Theological Institute in Prachuap Khirikhan, which is a four year Thai Bible College about an hour and a half South of Hua Hin.
Most of the time we have ministered together, but on a couple of Sundays, Susy has spoken at one Church in Thai and me at another in English.  We have been blessed by the response from the people, with some praying to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior for the first time.
The emphasis of our preaching and teaching so far has been on evangelism and discipleship.  There is such a great need among the Churches and believers here to reach out to the masses of unsaved people who they are around every day in their homes and where they work.
We are trying  to help them see people from God’s perspective and how valuable every lost soul is, and that they have a responsibility and ability to reach out to them with the Gospel, so they can hear and put their trust in Christ.
Some believers are responding to the message and seem hungry to know more and seem ready to embrace their responsibility to share Christ with others.  Susy has also been sharing with a group of Thai Christian ladies each week, and we are working with others on a one on one basis as we can.
The Training Seminars in individual Churches has not yet worked out as I thought they would.  Instead, we along with David and Pamela Hall, are presenting an all day Regional Christian Conference, entitled “Radical Discipleship and Power Evangelism”.
Please pray for this 12 hour Conference which will be held on Monday, July 18, and will be presented in both English and Thai languages for local and International believers.  We are expecting participants from all Churches in Hua Hin and surrounding cities and even from other nearby Provinces.
The Church we are meeting at has a seating capacity of 120, so we are praying for at least that number of believers to attend.  This will be the first event of this type in this part of Thailand and will be a beginning at bringing Churches and believers together in unity of purpose and spirit.
Please pray for Susy and myself, as well as David and Pamela and Pastors Nippon and Khampee, to be led by the Holy Spirit in everything we say and do.  Pray also for every attendee to have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church in Thailand at this time.
We are expecting revelation and breakthrough in the hearts and minds of all of us attending this Conference, and that God will raise up an army of Radical Disciples of Jesus Christ to move out into the streets and homes and marketplaces where the lost souls live and work, armed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaiming Him to all who will hear and believe, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Your prayers and support in all of this are so important and powerful.  You are a blessing to us!
We love and appreciate you all!
Dennis and Susy

Hello From Thailand - May 2011

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!

We thank God so much for each of you and for your prayers and support for us and the work of the ministry here in Thailand.  We are now settled in for this three months of ministry and are looking forward to all that God will do in and through us as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit each and every day.
We thank God for the wonderful time that we had in California on our way to Thailand.  We were so blessed and refreshed by the times of ministry and fellowship that we had with our friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
We were so blessed by our time with David and I’Jeanna Spates, who opened their home to us doing our time in the desert.  They, along with their daughters from Ecuador, Belin and Maria, really made us feel at home.
We were also blessed by our special times of food and fellowship with our dear friends of many years, Tom and Patricia Spates.  As always, they were a great encouragement to us.
Our times with Jack and Patty Murchall, again friends of many years, were very rich, both in their home and as we preached and shared at a home group meeting in Desert Hot Springs.
Another special time of ministry was in Indio, CA, as we had several hours of ministry to a group of high school to college age young people who really are hungry for God.  This was arranged by Damon Juarez and Pastor Fernando, who will follow up with these precious young servants of God.
It was such a blessing to spend a day with Dick and Carol Hochreiter in Banning, CA.  We were able to catch up on what God is doing in all of our lives and then we had the privilege of preaching and sharing with a group of believers at their home in the evening.  We were all blessed, encouraged and challenged by God.
Brother Tom and I got to see and spend some time with Brother Larry Ihle in Palm Springs one day.  He is a long time friend in the Lord from Minnesota.  It was so encouraging to hear how God is using Larry and his wife, Rose.
Our next stop in CA was Huntington Beach, where I was reacquainted with and Susy met for the first time, Pastor Bill and Joy Welsh, of Refuge Calvary Chapel.  I had not seen Bill and Joy for over 20 years, so we had a great time catching up and hearing how God has been so good to us all.
They were so gracious and loving to us during our day and morning with them.  We had the privilege of sharing on a couple of spots on their radio program which will air in June and July, and then were given the opportunity to share and preach at their Wednesday night Communion Service.
Our only regret in visiting California, was that there were some dear partners and friends which we did not get to see or visit with.
Next stop Thailand, after a wonderful 17 hour flight on Thai Airways and a blessed taxi ride for a few hours from Bangkok to Hua Hin.  Susy was used of God to lead Joe, our taxi driver, to Christ during the trip.  The next day or so, she prayed with the cleaning lady to receive Christ.  PTL!
David and Pamela Hall, our friends from England, who live in Hua Hin, were on hand to help us get started ministering.  They are such wonderful servants of God, who are being used in a very special way in this spiritually needy city.
We have been here eight days, as I write this, and we have had the privilege of preaching  three times already, and attending a special meeting with several Thai pastors.  We have also been witnessing and distributing True Happiness tracts, and ministering in some one on one situations.
We are so grateful to God for all the open doors we have here in Thailand and we are so thankful to all of you who are helping to make this possible through your gifts and prayers and encouragement.
We thank God also for our wonderful son, David Thomas, who is taking care of the ministry and the home front back in Akron, Ohio.  He is such a blessing from God to both Susy and me.
Thanks again for everything.
We love and appreciate you all!

DenSu's New Eight Session Training Seminar!

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!
Luke 6:40 states, A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
As we return to Thailand on May 5th for three more months, our goal is to spend the majority of our time equipping and training believers to be like their Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, and to do His works, which is true discipleship.
We realize more and more the great need in the Body of Christ for the teaching, training, equipping and mobilizing of Christians to do the work of the ministry which is to finish the task of world evangelization, until Jesus comes.
These two day, eight session Training Seminars will be conducted by us free of charge, on an individual local Church basis in order to best accommodate the work schedules of the people desiring to attend, as well as creating an atmosphere of openness and transparency among the Church leadership and membership alike.
Believers will also be encouraged to bring unbelievers to the two day seminar, as the entire first session will be a clear and complete presentation of the Creator God’s original intent and plan for the human race, both before and after the fall of mankind, as well as the Gospel of Jesus Christ being proclaimed to all.  Each person will be invited and given an opportunity to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
The following sessions will help each believer discover who they are in Christ, as sons and daughters of Almighty God, according to what God says about them in His Word, and what they possess as His children and as co-heirs with Christ, and what they can and must do as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are expecting the Grace of our Lord Jesus to be poured out upon us all abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
We expect the Holy Spirit to be the Teacher during the entire eight sessions, and the Spirit of Revelation and Wisdom will be given to each person in the knowledge of Christ.
We are expecting every person who attends to be born again by God’s Spirit, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to leave walking in the Spirit and by faith, not by sight, to the Glory of God.
We are expecting every believer to leave with a new sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, learning more and more to hear His Voice and follow Him.
We are expecting each person to leave seeing people as God sees them, created in His Image as Eternal beings, being as valuable as the price which was paid to redeem them, the very Son of God, Jesus.
We expect every person to go back into his or her world with their cup overflowing with the love and life and abundance of God Himself manifesting and radiating from them, as they witness for Christ in the power and boldness of the Holy Spirit.
We expect every believer to discover and begin to be trained and operate in their spiritual gifts and callings, and to recognize their place of ministry in the Body of Christ, as well as in their local Church.
We expect that each local Church will be transformed, as the people and leadership are also transformed by the Word and the Spirit of God.
We expect that each person will have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church, and they will all respond to the Spirit, allowing Him to make changes in their lives and the Church bringing everyone into alignment with the Will of God.
We expect that believers with leadership potential and callings will be discovered through these seminars and will chose to follow the Lord in preparation and training for the work of the ministry.
We expect that all pastors and Church leaders will be transformed and receive a fresh vision and empowerment to lead their people to reach out beyond the walls of their Churches where the lost are.
Thanks to each of you who pray and give to help us go.  May God continue to bless and reward each of you in your lives and ministries and especially in your personal relationship with Jesus.

Greetings From Hua Hin, Thailand

Dear Friends and Partners in Christ!

This has been a truly blessed trip in every way.  We have seen and experienced so many answers to your prayers.

God's Presence, His leading and direction have been so evident every day and in every way.

It has been amazing to watch Him open doors for ministry, and give us so many relationships and meetings with other believers, Churches and ministries here in Thailand in such a short period of time.

We especially thank God for Steve and Pam Chenoweth, Pastors of the Eternal Life Church in Bangkok, and David and Pamela Hall, English Pastors of the Jai Samarn Church in Hua Hin, and also NarongChai and Janpen, Thai Pastors of the Jai Samarn Church in Hua Hin.

They all have been so gracious in opening their hearts, their homes and their Churches to us, each allowing us to preach and minister to their congregations.  David and Pamela also spent much time arranging meetings for us with other Christian workers and ministries in Hua Hin, which has been extremely valuable to us in seeing what God is already doing in Hua Hin and where we can come alongside the Body of Christ with our gifts and callings in the Lord.

We also had the privilege of being part of a citywide Pastors Luncheon, possibly the first for Hua Hin, where fifteen of us gathered together to get to know one another better, to eat and pray together.

Each of us had the opportunity to share the vision which God has placed on each of our hearts for reaching the people of Hua Hin, all of Thailand, and the surrounding countries.  We all went away with a common respect for one another's ministries and a better understanding of how we might encourage and pray for each other.  We believe that this first meeting will be something we can build upon in the future.

Our meeting with Brother Chowkee in Bangkok, who is a Burmese Pastor and the Director for AMG Ministries in Thailand, was very beneficial.  We had not seen him for some years, even though they continue to use our literature in the Thai and Burmese languages.  We are looking forward to ministering with him in Thailand and Myanmar upon our return to Thailand.

We see a tremendous opportunity for us to help encourage, teach, train and challenge the believers in Hua Hin, both Thai and foreign, in order to equip them to reach out to the 99 out of 100 people who are still without Christ in their city.  The fields are ripe for harvest.  The laborers are few.  Pray with us for laborers to be sent to reap the harvest.

We also see open doors of opportunity to assist the Thai and International Churches in Hua Hin in planting Churches in the neighboring cities of Cha Am to the north, and Pranburi to the south.  We will be able to help with evangelistic outreach, and preaching and teaching in both Thai and English.

We are getting prices in Thailand for the reprinting of our True Happiness book and tract, as well as Susy's testimonies.  Pray for us to connect with the right printing company and for the funds for the printings.  We also want to reprint in the Burmese language as soon as possible.

We are planning in the Lord to fly back to Ohio from Bangkok, Wednesday, February 9 at 7:00 pm, Ohio time, arriving in Cleveland at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 10.  Please pray for all aspects of our travel and weather and safety, as well as our bodies adjustment to the 12 hour time difference.

Those of you who pray, give, love and encourage us are playing a vital role in DenSu Ministries and in our personal lives as well.  Thanks also for praying for David, who is doing a wonderful job back in Ohio as he takes care of everything.  How blessed we are to have him as our son.

We will share more with you in the near future of our specific plans to return to Thailand, as we receive more clarity and direction from the Lord.

May God continue to bless and reward each of you in your lives and ministries and especially in your personal relationship with Jesus.

With much love and appreciation,
Dennis and Susy

DenSu's New International Ministry Base!

Dear Partners and Friends in Christ,
Our last communications informed you that God has directed us to establish an International Base of Operations for DenSu Ministries in Hua Hin, Thailand.  This will be a Center in the heart of Southeast Asia for helping the Body of Christ finish the task of World Evangelization, as Jesus commissioned us to do.
Acts 1:8 states, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Our Jerusalem will be Hua Hin, Thailand, which is the home of about 85,000 precious souls, a large international community, and an abundance of Thai and foreign tourists.
Our Judea will be the South of Thailand, which is where Susy was born and lived until she was 17 years old.  The South is the least evangelized part of Thailand and home to the most extreme Buddhist and Muslim people.
Our Samaria will be the Southeast Asian countries neighboring Thailand, which are Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia, as well as some of the nearby countries: Brunei, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
The Ends of the Earth will be whatever other nations and peoples God puts upon our hearts.  We want to remain open to His leading to do anything He wants us to do in order to hasten the return of the Lord Jesus by doing our part in helping to evangelize the world.
We will not be doing this alone.  Our work will be a Co-Mission, first of all with God, and then by networking with other believers and Churches and ministries in that part of the world, who also have a desire to help finish the task of World Evangelization.  This ministry effort will be fueled by you here at home who are willing to send and undergird us, through your prayers, giving and other support.
The Ministry Center in Hua Hin will be a place of Prayer and Intercession.  We want people to be able to come to receive prayer, and for believers to come together to pray and intercede for Hua Hin, for Thailand, for Southeast Asia, and for the ends of the earth; a House of Prayer for All Nations.
It will be an Evangelistic Outreach Center, where we will practice and teach personal soulwinning and other methods and means for evangelism.
It will be a Literature Distribution Center, where we will continue printing and distributing our True Happiness books and tracts free of charge.
It will be a Teaching and Training Center, where believers at all levels of maturity can be taught and trained to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It will be a Church Planting Center, where we can cooperate, strategize and work with local Churches to reproduce in other communities and Provinces.
It will be a World Missions Mobilization Center, where believers are taught about and equipped for obeying the Great Commission.  Short and long term mission opportunities for both teams and individuals will be organized and facilitated.
It will be a place where like minded Christians with common goals can network together, while operating in their individual strengths, gifts and callings to Help Finish The Task of World Evangelization.
By doing so, we will be able to strengthen and encourage one another, eliminate wasteful duplication of efforts and resources, and glean greater wisdom and insights from the Lord and each other.
This Center will not be a local Church, nor will it be a substitute for a local Church, but rather a parachurch ministry, coming alongside to help and assist within the Body of Christ.
The initial role of DenSu Ministries will be to establish a beachhead, to gain a foothold, and to lay a solid New Testament foundation, while the Lord sends others to partner and network with us for the advancement of His Kingdom and for His Glory.
Susy and I will also make ourselves available throughout the Churches of Thailand and Southeast Asia to preach Christ’s Unsearchable Riches. We covet your prayers and partnership with us.
